They had a patio so you could eat outside. I had the Fish & Chips after a dozen fresh oysters to start. I wish I had taken pictures. The oysters were fresh & sweet. The fish was not heavily battered which a lot of other restaurants do and I hate that because I have to peel off the batter. So, this wasn't and it's so wonderful to simply enjoy good fish & chips with a cold Sauvignon Blanc while sitting in the sun. They included a half loaf of homemade whole wheat and grains bread & cold butter with meal. I was a little piglet because I couldn't resist their fresh baked apple strudel topped with what looked to be was whipped local cream (I thought it was ice cream, at first, because of the creamy color). The only reason I took a star off was because they really had very few entrees selection. Might be because of the recent reopening after the pandemic. However, I wouldn't mind going back to this gem for another go & try the sausage. 💚
MoreLocal loveliness with authentic cuisine and beverages. Warm and inviting. Nuthin' fancy, but ALL special.
MoreNice restaurant and bar the food was great Czech food Plates included soup, salad, red cabbage, dumpling, pickle in addition to the main dish. Service was very good and friendly. The apple strudel was good. The coffee with chocolate and cream was outstanding. Well worth the trip.
MoreExpensive food and small portions. Bathroom was dirty.
Great local feel with delicious homemade traditional food. The best apple strudel I’ve ever had! Loved the conversation with the bartender who was an 89 year old local Korean War veteran. He was kind enough to share some of the history of the region from his own perspective with me. What a great visit! Wish I would have caught his name before I left.
MoreDespite the odd looks, this turned out to be a very nice restaurant. The food is authentic and tasty and the portions are nice. It is also very different from most of tje and local restaurants, making it a nice treat.
MoreA beautiful quaint place with great food and wonderful service.
We ate here on Christmas Eve, happy to have found a restaurant that was open! Reviews that we had read earlier indicated that full meals must be ordered, but our server told us to get anything on the menu in any combination. I had a green salad, and my husband chose chicken paprikash with red cabbage, potatoes, and potato salad. Rye bread was brought before our meal arrived. This is not usually my favorite type of bread, but it was quite good. Bill with drinks, tip, and tax was @$45. Credit cards are not accepted. Luckily, we knew this in advance.
MoreThe food was good, and the hostess was very nice, but cash-only payment was a bit disappointing. Ended up paying 6 bucks in ATM fees. These days it feels a bit outdated, I don't remember the last time I had to use cash.
MoreThe food is really good, the interior has very cool decor. It was a nice find and will stop by again.
MoreGreat Homemade meal. Cute little restaurant. Sat outside, because it was noisy inside with the live music. Nice little find on our way home from Point Reyes
MorePoor service. Food average at best. Really a local hangout and they just attend the regulars.
MoreQuiet and cozy but not dead. Atmosphere was so authentic. I had the rabbit and it was quite tasty.
MoreQuite place with a lot of history. Family owned and operated. Ask the owner about how her father escaped the Czech Republic. If you’ve never had Czech food. This is worth the trip, and it is in the middle of one of the most beautiful parts of California.
MoreVery nice place, very friendly staff, good food, they just take cash, no cards, no WiFi
MoreGreat spot for Paprikash and Dumpling. They also have the freshest Pilsner Urquell on tap. Well worth a stop for a bite or a pint.
Morecozy atmosphere, service was great but it wasn't too crowded. still felt the price of $27 was a bit high for the food. would come here again if I was in the mood for this type of food.
MoreNice place but very extensive.... we would not stop again.
It's been a long time since I had authentic Hungarian Goulash -- and this was the real deal; with gnocchi, pickled cabbage, and potato salad on the side.
MoreSuper sweet to experience this authentic and friendly family establishment. Great Klabasa!
MoreNice out of the way place with authentic Czech (Bohemian) food
Great ambiance! Takes me back to my grandparents home! Must pay cash or use atm on site for cash. Flat price for all meals- includes fresh baked Moravian rye bread, salad, soup, and main dish, all homemade by the owner! Don't skip on the apple strudel!!
MoreLove the ambiance. Great traditional food.
Couldn't get a reservations since they didn't answer their phone - during business hours - any of the three times I tried. No website. No OpenTable. No webform. No answer no telephone.
MoreGreat food, plenty of it and very reasonable price. Go early as it got pretty busy by 6 pm.
MoreThe service is constantly speedy, lovely character, very welcoming staff. Will eat here again when I get in the area.
MoreIt's a quaint little restaurant with older vintage furnishings and antique shop atmosphere that I enjoyed. Window seating next to the piano with old notes was quite romantic. Unfortunately seat cushions were worn off and had a hard dip where people seat. That wasn't very comfortable. Food was authentic, but could be a bit more flavorful. Server was very welcoming and friendly, fast and helpful service, that was one of the highlights of our visit. Location is quite close to the bay, it was dark when we were there, but I think you can see the bay from the window. Parking is tight, we parked on the adjoining road. With the limited choices in that area, I would recommend this restaurant for a nice variety. It would be nice to have a comfortable seat cushions for more enjoyable evening.
MoreMy fiance and i enjoyed the beers selection here. Food were great. Hot roast duck is to dive in for.
MoreThey only take cash but there is an ATM in the back. They have rabbit, veal, duck and really good barbecued oysters. A rustic, cozy atmosphere with a wood burning stove
MoreThe place has an amazing vibe, with nice calm lights. People are so kind and the food is perfect!
MoreSimple menu that gives visitors a sample of Czech cuisine. Flexible attitude easily accommodated our two gluten free preferences.
MoreLoved Vlads special coffee and apple streusal
Tasteful and home-made food. Authentic Czech cuisine and charming atmosphere. Cash-only policy with an ATM in the background. Attend your pursue.
MoreWent today, quality was terrible and price outrageous. One small rabbit leg for one dish, bone of chicken with grizle, no meat to be found. Glad I paid over $80 and still hungry. Hope others have better experience. Good luck...
Morenice locale and service. the fixed price idea is really something.however main course was a little small and some of the sides not very authentic.be aware of cash-only policy. they do however have an ATM.
MoreI feel I am in the Centre of Europe. From decors to food and service , everything is amazing. Great ambiance
MoreYes it's slow, but it's hearty healthy food like mom makes. We'll be back. The locals who stop by here were colorful and friendly.
MoreThis place serves Hungarian goulash, it's so far from goulash that can't even explain...... not sure where they got the receipe but sure is not Hungarian 🤣🤣🤣🤣
MoreGreat place with Czech beer ! 🇨🇿🇺🇸
Awesome food, super nice staff members, always awesome mood. They charge affordable prices and the food quality is fantastic. Keep it up.
MoreFood was authentic and good quality, restaurant was quaint and warm and had a small European village feel. Only complaint was wish they had bigger portions 😭
MoreCASH ONLY! They don't take credit cards but this fact is not advertised anywhere besides in small print at the bottom of the menu. I'd be happy to try the food next time, with cash in hand.
MoreGood food. Good service. Awesome classic ambiance. Should put up a notice somewhere that only cash accepted.
MoreCozy & warm place that reminded me of my visit to Czech republic.
Serving pub food based on a Czech Republic cuisine menu so basically a similar menu to most German restaurants...schnitzel, goulash, klobasa, red cabbage, etc. Unfortunately no seafood items on the menu despite being a stone's throw from the waters edge of Tamales Bay (opposite side of the street - no view of the bay).Food prep is more the fast food version of the items. Good place for a beer and a quick hot meal in an area with few dining options, not a good choice if you're a foodie.Friendly folks running the restaurant as best as they can.
MoreIt's great to know there's a place to eat Czech food!...We ordered the rabbit which was tender, good quality, tasty. The rustic split pea soup was tasty and you can tell it is made in house, fresh. They have Czech beer on tap.Who else has that?....On the other hand, the service was not as professional and the customer service was not at par. The place is quaint, old-school and it could use a bit of revamping.
MoreI stopped at this place for late lunch after visiting Point Reyes Lighthouse. Tried rabbit which was not bad. But I loved bread. Service is not great as there was only one person running around for everything. Cash only, ATM machine is in the premises. Price is reasonable.
MoreGreat slovak ethnic food and atmosphere. Tasty Vienna Schnitzel, wonderful roasted duck with plum sauce, potato salad was good, oysters fresh and tasty. Server was very friendly and nice. Only thing was justbok were the potato dumplings. They were a little too dense and not fluffy plus they needed more gravy.
MoreGood Foods. ... I ate beef tongue. It is tender.
Very authentic and old world spot. Great beer and bread.
